Sunday, September 16th, 2007
US tour dates are starting to roll in for the Foo Fighters, who have a new album ready to hit the streets this month.
The alt-rockers’ next gig is this Saturday (9/15) at Carson, CA’s KROQ LA Invasion, after which they’ll move onto New York City, New Orleans, Atlanta and Atlantic City through early October. More US shows are expected to be announced shortly, according to a press release. Confirmed gigs are listed below.
The Foo Fighters also have a UK arena tour booked in November. That 9-show run, which is detailed at the band’s website, wraps Nov. 18 following a two-night stand at London’s O2 arena.
The Grammy-winning group’s sixth studio release, “Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace,” is due Sept. 25. The set marks the first time the Foos have worked with producer Gil Norton since 1997’s double-platinum seller “The Colour and the Shape,” which was recently remastered and reissued as a 10th anniversary deluxe edition with six bonus tracks.
