Maroon 5 is funk and blues infused rock band. The quintet is made up of Adam Levine (vocals), James Valentine (guitar), Jesse Carmichael (keyboard), Mickey Maden (bass) and Matt Flyn (drums). Friends since middle school, these five lads formed their band in 1995. At the time, they were known as Kara's Flowers.
